  Paid over $40 for a set of 4 small "premium" olive oil sampler bottles as a dinner party gift. Every one we opened was stale, flavorless, or sour. Highly embarrassing. I bought truffle oil for myself at the same time, even more expensive, and it was even worse. Instead of the heady, sensual truffle essence you would expect for the price, it just tasted like cheap olive oil mixed with dirt. Avoid at all costs.
